A house with history
At its general assembly on April 17, 1905, the “Association for Non-Profit Purposes” decided to build its own association building with an integrated restaurant.
In 1906 such a house was built according to the plans of master builder Otto Mallaun. At that time it was called "Sporthaus". The inn opened on May 16, 1907. For a long time, the house served as the clubhouse for the Bregenz Sailing Club.
Characteristic elements of the house have always been and still are the half-hipped roof, the steep gable, the half-timbering and the attic house. In 1930 the house and the restaurant became the property of the state capital of Bregenz. The building has been a listed building since 1995. In January 2004, while on winter vacation, the roof truss burned out and only just escaped total destruction. On the east side, the building had to be demolished up to the ground floor ceiling. The roof truss has been completely redone.
After only three months of construction, the traditional inn on the lake, which is managed with great care and skill by the municipal restaurant company and the tenants Martin & Daniela Berthold, can reopen its doors.

Our restaurant is located directly on the shore of Lake Constance on the Bregenz lake promenade.
Bistro and bar
Our bistro with approx. 35 seats and a cosy bar are located on the ground floor.
Festspielstüble
Our Festspielstüble seats approx. 35 people and is ideal for reservations.
Kaminstube
In our Kaminstube you can enjoy our delicacies in winter with an open fire. Here, too, there is room for approx. 45 guests. Reservations can also be made.

Enjoy the wonderful ambience of the shores of Lake Constance with friends, family or alone over a hearty breakfast.
Daily breakfast
From Monday to Sunday (except on dates with breakfast buffet and live music) you will receive a delicious breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. that you can choose from our extensive breakfast menu.
Breakfast with live music
From 8 May to 11 September we offer breakfast buffet with live music every Sunday and public holiday from 9:00 to 11:30. The events take place in all weathers!
